HOSPITAL ART

I am not a medical professional, so in the fall of 2023 I took part in the Stanford University "Positive Psychology and Well-being: The Psychological, Biological, and Social Aspects of Happiness" class. I want to use what I've learned there as the basis for the latest project I am working on.

This body of work focuses on colour, shape, and light of the indoor environment where people spend a lot of time, and how these factors affect well-being. The goal of these paintings is to make healthcare environments more comfortable and conducive to healing. Not only does art transform a hospital with the addition of colour and design, but it also brightens and revitalises the minds of patients and staff. I want to contribute to society by creating artwork that makes patients feel calmer and more joyful.
